Organic is recommended for most road use and light track work. The lining is updated with metallic particles for improved thermal holding. The cerametallic offers a more direct engagement hence usually reserved for track or competition work where thermal input is increased for prolonged periods of time.
The sprung hub is a vital part of a road going dual to single mass conversion due to acting as a vibration damper between the engine and gearbox, this is usually incorporated into the dual mass flywheel and allows for a more OEM progressive clutch engagement whilst prolonging gearbox longevity. The heavy duty friction disc has a larger maximum capacity before hitting the stop position of the locating rivets allowing for a higher transmittable torque before longevity is reduced. The reinforced cover has a larger torque holding which improves resistance to aggressive driving and the lightened flywheel improves response.
The combination gives faster, more direct gear changes without the uncomfortable sacrifices of a race clutch. We can supply an unsprung hub for a more direct drive and higher torque holding if that is preferred. Let us know if you'd like anything other than the standard weight and a sprung organic friction disc. Some stock is carried but the flywheels are usually machined to order and can take 4-6 weeks. On the plus side, this means we can machine custom variants of these with ease, different weights including catering for a full range of competition clutches in 140mm, 184mm, 200mm and 215mm are all available for reduced inertia and improved stiffness.
