BMW E36 325i limited slip differential, 3.46 ratio, 188 mm, 25% lockup -- EXTREMELY RARE RATIO. This LSD has a very desirable ratio.

Most E36 325s and M3s have either a 3.15/3.23 or 3.91 ratio rear end. This one falls in the middle and is a very sought after ratio for enthusiasts; more torque off the line without compromising top end speed by too much.

This is a fully rebuilt custom E36 limited slip differential that has been rebuilt and gone through to be sure its in fine shape. The 3.46:1 gear set was removed from an E32 or E34 differential. The spool was opened up and inspected for wear. The two clutches were media blasted and reinstalled to make this like new and the diff reassembled to stock specifications (no ramp angle work).

The diff was assembled using new bearings and seals in all locations. The break away torque was set up to a 25% static lock as it would be for a stock E36 limited slip diff.

The case was then painted up nice as you see in the photos. Comes with cleaned E36 rear diff cover. You will need to apply some RTV silicone or similar to seal the cover prior to installation. This diff will fit all E36 US and european models from'92-98 with a U-joint type driveshaft rear flange.

If you have a CV type (like some Euro and US M3 models), the flange from your diff can be installed on this diff by a qualified differential shop. This will fit the 6 cylinder cars, and not the 4 cylinder 318 and 323 models with the small case diffs. The guy who builds my diffs has been building BMW diffs for over 25 years and builds most of the diffs used by Southern California club racers. He knows what he is doing.
