BMW E30/E28/E24 limited slip differential, 3.73 ratio, stock 25% lockup. This is a good working condition E30 limited slip differential. I removed this from an'88 CA parts car. This diff will fit all E28 5 series and E24 six series, except the M cars, all 6 cylinder E30s, the E30 M3, and E23 7 series cars from about'82 on. Fits 6 cylinder Z3 models. This is the medium size case with a 188 mm ring gear and set up for an E30. If have have another model you my need to swap the rear cover and perhaps the pop-in drive flanges.

The input shaft bearing feels very good and the diff is in great shape, with no leaks. I have cleaned this unit to look as it does in the photos. The rear cover was removed to inspect the ring and pinion gear and inner workings for abnormal wear so you will need to seal it when you install your cover. The ring gear and spool are quite clean. The case has minimal rust, common to CA cars.

This is the real deal - no gunk or residues, suggesting this is a well cared for diff, with the oil changed according to BMW recommendations. Be assured, this diff is in great shape and will not whine! It takes experience to evaluate these units, so you can trust my description. The unit weighs approximately 90 lbs when boxed up.
